Recording music over the past six years had been an exciting journey for Shelly G recording hits with the likes of Luciano, First Born, Fojo, Jah Cure, Rudy Corbin, JB, and Chutney sensation De Hitman Parboo. She was also the opening act for lots of international artist on tour to Guyana, Akon, Beenieman, Jah Cure, Beres Hammond, Maxi Priest, R&B sensation Ashanti, Soca Queen Allison Hinds and Lady Saw to name a few.
In 2005, she was first runner up in The Guyana Carib Soca Monarch, and went on to win the Carib Sopca Monarch Title in February of 2009.
