Last night was a re-run! My nose bled again! I woke up around 1 am and it started to bleed again. This time it wasn’t fast paced, but it took forever to stop it. Actually it still is bleeding a bit, and falling to the back of my throat as I type. The doctor was paged and he came in a timely manor to come asses my nose.
Last night was a re-run! My nose bled again! I woke up around 1 am and it started to bleed again. This time it wasn’t fast paced, but it took forever to stop it. Actually it still is bleeding a bit, and falling to the back of my throat as I type. The doctor was paged and he came in a timely manor to come asses my nose. The verdict was to put more Styrofoam stuff in my nose to stop the bleeding. It worked for 2.3 seconds and started to bleed once again.
I am annoyed! I can’t sleep lying down because the blood will go into the back of my throat and I will swallow it; so I have to sit up with pillows piled behind my back. I am tired, I didn’t sleep well obviously because of the bleeding and the ENT (ear, nose and throat specialist) has not showed up yet. The person was paged about 3 times last night, and finally this morning around 11 am we got a response from one of the “on-call” people saying that they will be paying me a visit sometime today! Well, it is 4 pm now and I still haven’t seen the ENT. I feel as if they don’t care to come as soon as possible.
My ears are popping, my nose is blocked completely on one side and my throat is slightly blocked too with blood or mucus or spit. It is extremely hard to swallow, and my mouth is dry from breathing through it. However, I am currently using a face mask with a humidifier to give me oxygen too. It is a big, bulky and loud thingy. I was hoping to get out by tomorrow too, but at this point, I doubt it. All I want to do is breathe, sleep, and go home.
I find peace in praying, but I need to stop worrying too.
